2003 New Members Brunch

February 2, 2003

This is the way to live --- a short walk to a beautiful boat and a short ride between harbors to enjoy a wonderful brunch at the Long Beach Yacht Club. We had the opportunity to meet some potential new members and they were able to meet us.

We had 50-50 winners. Rear Commodore Mary Shebell took take home the Dumb Bell award for wearing her new bullion upside-down. Now Mary, how many of us do you think believed the closet story! My photo of Mary accepting the award didn't come out very good, shucks.

The following invitation was sent to the entire Seagate population inviting non-members to sign up for the New Members Brunch.

Each year, Seagate Yacht Club makes a special offer to non-yacht club members who live in the Seagate complex. We invite you t join us for a boat ride and a glorious buffet brunch at the Long Beach Yacht Club. If the weather is bad, we all go by car.

Our purpose is simply to let you meet fellow neighbors who are members and see the type of fun we have at our functions. To entice you, we make a special offer: You get a 50% discount on the normal cost of $22.00 per person.

So for $11.00 per person, you will have a wonderful dinning experience. We only ask that you live in Seagate (own or lease) and be at least 21 years of age.

Here is how it works. Call the number below and make your reservation. Next, show up at the docks at the end of Bonaire at 9:15 a.m. sharp on the 2nd of February. We will board the boats and have a little champagne on the ride to Long Beach. The boats are all seaworthy and in the 30 to 40 foot range. We will collect your money on the way over. If the weather is bad, we will go by car. Rain or shine, we go.
